CEREC by Sirona Dental Systems is the first computer-aided system in the world for creating dental restorations – crowns, bridges, onlays, veneers, and inlays – in the office – in just one visit.

How it works is that we make a digital scan of your tooth. The computer creates a 3D model on the screen.

Your tooth’s exact dimensions are measured and a custom porcelain restoration is milled to those dimensions right in the office.

  • An optical 3D image is acquired with a laser scanner
  • The restoration is created on the screen using the image data.
  • An onsite milling unit creates your crown or onlay from a ceramic block.
  • Finally, a restoration to match and blend with your other teeth.
